Kearney Elementary School Fundraiser!

In May, half of all session fees and 10% of all portrait orders at Baer Photography will be donated to the KPS Elementary School of your choice! This offer is good for ANY session. Children, family, business portraits etc. Photography must be done in May. Call 308-234-2601 today and be sure to mention this offer when scheduling your session.

Mother's Day Special: SAFE Center diaper drive

Mother's Day is coming up! Do you need help figuring out the perfect gift? We have the answer and you'll be helping a great cause. Document your family's legacy and treat yourself (or mom) to a portrait session. Multi-generation pictures are fantastic, but to qualify for this promotion all you need to do is include "Mom" into any group. Mom and the kids. Mom, dad and the kids. Mom with her sisters. Or you with your mom.

In April, all sessions with mom are "FREE" in exchange for a donation of one or more box(s) of diapers to the S.A.F.E. Center. (all sizes needed especially 4-6) Baer Photography will also be collecting donations at the studio for all items on their wish list.

2nd Annual Kearney Area Children's Museum Cute Kid Contest

We are looking for cute kids! During the month of March we will be accepting entries for our Cute Kid Contest. Cute kids from 1 day thru 12 years old are eligible. All entries will also be entered in the Adorable National Children's Portrait Contest. Your cute kid could win one of our many prizes totaling nearly $10,000!

Contest Rules

Contest Dates: Eligible entries must be photographed by Baer Photography March 1 thru March 28th

Contest Categories: 0-6months, 7-12 months,13 months - 2 yrs., 3-5 yrs., 6-8 yrs., 9-12 yrs.

Local Prizes: A grand prize winner will win a $500 studio credit from Baer Photography. Top winner in each age category will each win one 16x20 wall portrait from Baer Photography and a one year family membership to the Kearney Area Children’s Museum.

Local Voting: The people’s choice voting for the local “Cute Kid Contest” will be held at the Baer Photography Hilltop Mall display. Voting will be held during the month of April. Winners will be notified on or before May 7th.

National Contest: The Adorable National Children’s Portrait Contest winners will be notified and prizes  awarded July 22. Entries are judged on the basis of quality, appearance, charm, expression and personality. All judging decisions are final.

Restrictions: Only one entry per child. Entry fee is due at time of contest session reservation. One child per entry. 20% off offer only good for the first order.

Love Letters

Tell us why you LOVE, who you LOVE!

To enter, just send us your LOVE letter. Everyone who submits a letter will receive a complimentary portrait session with their “LOVEd” one(s)! 

And, the best LOVE letter will receive a complementary session and a 20x24 framed wall portrait!

Mail your one page hand written letter to the studio before February 28th. Be sure to include your name and contact information. (We reserve the right to share your “LOVE” letter.) 

Paws for a Cause

The entire month of January, Baer Photography will be accepting one large bag of Science Diet pet food as payment for a pet session fee. All pet food and a portion of all sales from the sessions will be donated to the Kearney Area Animal Shelter.

Brian Baer, portrait artist and owner of Baer Photography in Kearney says, “Our family admires the work done by the Kearney Area Animal Shelter in our community, and we want to use our talents to help with their mission.” Baer added, “This will be the third year we've run this fundraiser. Last year we surprised everyone by raising almost 3000 pounds of kibble! This years goal is 4000 pounds.”

Baer says the promotion is simple and straight forward. In exchange for a donation, Baer Photography will create a professional portrait of your pet, or create a family portrait which includes your pet.

According to Jamie Jensen, Director of Operations at the Kearney Animal Shelter, “Food is a large expense for our shelter.” Jensen noted that last years donations from this project brought in enough food to feed every animal in the shelter for almost 2 months. “We are very appreciative and happy to accept approved items, monetary donations and we are always looking for additional volunteers.” An official wish list and volunteer application can be found at www.KearneyHumane.com The Kearney Area Animal Shelter is located at 3205 W. Hwy 30. Regular adoption hours are Monday thru Friday 1-5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday Noon- 4 p.m.
